1. Data Collection on Our Website

Cookies

Our website uses cookies. Cookies are used to make our website more user-friendly, effective, and secure. They are data packets that your browser stores on your computer.

Most of the cookies we use are so-called “session cookies.” They are automatically deleted after your visit ends. Other cookies have a longer storage period. These cookies allow us to recognize your browser on your next visit.

You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and only allow cookies in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general, and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. If you deactivate cookies, the functionality of this website may be limited.

Cookies that are necessary for carrying out electronic communication or for providing certain functions you have requested (e.g., the shopping cart function) are stored on the basis of Section 25 (2) No. 2 of the German Telemedia Act (TMG) and Article 6 (1) (f) of the GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in storing cookies to ensure the technically flawless and optimized provision of its services. If other cookies (e.g., cookies for analyzing your browsing behavior) are stored, these are addressed separately in this privacy policy.

  • Source from which you accessed our site (referrer URL)
  • Host name of the accessing computer

If you send us inquiries via the contact form, your information, including the contact details you provide, will be stored by us for the purpose of processing your request. The legal basis for this is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures or contract fulfillment).

The data you enter in the contact form will remain with us until the purpose for data storage no longer applies (e.g., after your request has been processed). Mandatory legal provisions – in particular retention periods – remain unaffected.

2. Analysis Tools and Advertising

Google Tag Manager

This website uses Google Tag Manager. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Google Tag Manager is a tool that allows us to integrate tracking and analytics tools and other technologies into our website. Google Tag Manager itself does not create user profiles, store cookies, or perform independent analyses. It serves only to manage and deploy the tools integrated through it. However, Google Tag Manager does collect your IP address, which may also be transferred to Google’s parent company in the United States. The use of Google Tag Manager is based on Article 6 (1) (a) GDPR and Section 25 (1) of the German Telemedia Act (TMG) with your consent.

Google Tag Manager does, however, collect your IP address, which may also be transferred to Google’s parent company in the United States. These are small, usually invisible graphics that are embedded in websites and other services to enable statistical analysis, generally for marketing purposes.

You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future by accessing the cookie settings above in section 1 “Cookie Consent” under “Change”. To do this, deselect your consent under “Allow tracking” and then click “Save”. The lawfulness of the processing carried out on the basis of the consent until its withdrawal remains unaffected.

Google Analytics

This website uses functions of the web analytics service Google Analytics. The provider is Google Ireland Limited (“Google”), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Google Analytics enables the website operator to analyze the behavior of website visitors. The website operator receives various usage data, such as page views, time spent on the site, operating systems used, and the user’s origin. This data is assigned to the respective user’s device. No device ID is assigned. Furthermore, we may use Google Analytics  to record your mouse movements, scrolling, and clicks, among other things. Google Analytics also uses various modeling approaches to supplement the collected data and employs machine learning technologies for data analysis. Google Analytics uses technologies that enable user recognition for the purpose of analyzing user behavior (e.g., cookies or device fingerprinting). The use of this service is based on your consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR and Section 25 (1) German Telemedia Act (TMG).

You may revoke your consent at any time by accessing the cookie settings above in Section 1 “Cookie Consent” under “Change”. To do this, deselect your consent under “Allow tracking” and then click “Save”. The lawfulness of the processing carried out on the basis of the consent until its withdrawal remains unaffected.

You can also prevent the storage of cookies from the outset by adjusting your browser settings accordingly. However, if you configure your browser to reject all cookies, this may restrict the functionality of this and other websites. Furthermore, you can prevent Google from collecting and processing data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) by

  1. not giving your consent to the setting of the cookie
  2. downloading and installing the browser add-on for deactivating Google Analytics at  https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.

Further information on the terms of service for Google Analytics and Google’s privacy policy may be found at https://marketingplatform.google.com/about/analytics/terms/de/ and at https://policies.google.com/?hl=de.

Google uses the aforementioned information to evaluate your use of the website and to compile reports on website activity. The reports provided by Google Analytics are used to analyze the performance of our website.

Recipients of the data are/may be Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland; Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; and Alphabet Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. The European Commission's adequacy decision applies to data transfers to the USA. Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Privacy Framework.

The data we send and which is linked to cookies is automatically deleted after 13 months.

The maximum lifespan of Google Analytics cookies is two years. Data whose retention period has expired is automatically deleted once a month.

Demographic characteristics in Google Analytics

This website uses the “demographic characteristics” function. This allows reports to be generated that include information about the age, gender, and interests of website visitors. This data comes from Google’s interest-based advertising and from third-party visitor data. This data cannot be traced back to any specific individual. You can disable this feature at any time via the ad settings in your Google account or generally prevent Google Analytics from collecting your data as described above.

Google Ads and Google Conversion Tracking

This website uses Google Ads from Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, United States (“Google”).

We use conversion tracking as part of Google Ads. When you click on an ad placed by Google, a cookie is set for conversion tracking. Cookies are data packets that the internet browser stores on the user’s computer. These cookies expire after 30 days and are not used to personally identify users. If the user visits certain pages of this website and the cookie has not yet expired, Google and we can recognize that the user clicked on the ad and was redirected to this page.

Each Google Ads customer receives a different cookie. Cookies cannot be tracked via the websites of Ads’ customers. The information collected using the conversion cookie is used to generate conversion statistics for Ads’ customers who have opted for conversion tracking. Customers learn the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a page tagged with a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not receive any information that can be used to personally identify users. If you do not wish to participate in tracking, you can object to this use by easily deactivating the Google conversion tracking cookie in your internet browser under user settings. You will then not be included in the conversion tracking statistics.

The storage of “conversion cookies” is based on your consent in accordance with Section 25 (1) German Telemedia Act (TMG) and Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR.

For more information about Google Ads and Google Conversion Tracking, please refer to Google’s privacy policy: www.google.de/policies/privacy/.

You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and only allow cookies in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general, and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. If you deactivate cookies, the functionality of this website may be limited.

Google DoubleClick

DoubleClick is a service provided by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”). DoubleClick uses cookies to present advertisements that are relevant to you. Your browser is assigned a pseudonymous identification number (ID) to check which advertisements have been displayed in your browser and which advertisements have been accessed. The cookies do not contain any personal information.

The use of DoubleClick cookies enables Google and its partner websites to display ads based on previous visits to our or other websites on the internet. The information generated by the cookies is transmitted by Google to a server in the USA for evaluation and stored there. Google will only transfer the data to third parties if required by law or for the purpose of processing the data on our behalf. Under no circumstances will Google combine your data with other data collected by Google. By giving your consent, you agree to the processing of data about you by Google and the manner of data processing described above, as well as the purpose stated (Section 25 (1) German Telemedia Act (TMG) and Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR).

You can prevent cookies from being stored by adjusting your browser software settings accordingly; however, we would like to point out that in this case you may not be able to use all the functions of our website to their full extent. You can also prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the cookies and relating to your use of the website, and from processing this data, by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout .

WordPress Stats

This website uses the WordPress tool Stats to statistically evaluate visitor traffic. The provider is Automattic Inc., 60 29th Street #343, San Francisco, CA 94110-4929, USA.

WordPress Stats uses cookies that are stored on your computer and enable analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookies about your use of our website is stored on servers in the USA. Your IP address is anonymized after processing and before storage.

WordPress Stats cookies remain on your device until you delete them.

The storage of “WordPress Stats” cookies is based on Section 25 (2) German Telemedia Act (TMG) and Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the anonymous analysis of user behavior in order to optimize both its website and its advertising.

You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and only allow cookies in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general, and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. If you deactivate cookies, the functionality of this website may be limited.

You can object to the collection and use of your data for the future by setting an opt-out cookie in your browser by clicking on this link: https://www.quantcast.com/opt-out/.

If you delete the cookies on your computer, you must set the opt-out cookie again.

Google reCAPTCHA

We use “Google reCAPTCHA” (hereinafter ‘reCAPTCHA’) on this website. The provider is Google Ireland Limited (hereinafter “Google”), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. reCAPTCHA is used to verify whether the data entered on this website (e.g., in a contact form) is entered by a human or by an automated program. To do this, reCAPTCHA analyzes the behavior of website visitors based on various characteristics. This analysis begins automatically as soon as a website visitor enters the website. For its analysis, reCAPTCHA evaluates various information (e.g., IP address, length of time the website visitor stays on the website, or mouse movements made by the user). The data collected during the analysis is forwarded to Google.

The reCAPTCHA analyses run entirely in the background. Website visitors are not notified that an analysis is taking place.

The storage and analysis of data is based on Section 25 (2) German Telemedia Act (TMG) and Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. We have a legitimate interest in protecting our web offerings from abusive automated spying and SPAM.
For more information about Google reCAPTCHA, please refer to Google’s privacy policy and Google’s terms of use at the following links:
https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=de and https://policies.google.com/terms?hl=de as well as the details in the privacy settings.

3. Plugins and Tools

Font Awesome (local hosting)

We use Font Awesome from the American company Fonticons (307 S. Main St., Suite 202, Bentonville, AR 72712, USA) on our website.  The fonts are installed locally, so no data is passed on to the provider Fonticos when you visit our website.

Font Awesome is a web font that was developed specifically for web designers and web developers. It allows us to present content on our website in a more appealing way. This makes it easier for you to navigate our website and understand the content. The icons can sometimes even replace entire words and save space. This is particularly useful when we optimize content specifically for smartphones.  These icons are inserted as HTML code instead of images. This allows us to edit the icons with CSS exactly as we want. At the same time, Font Awesome also improves our loading speed because it only uses HTML elements and not icon images. All these advantages help us to make the website even clearer, fresher, and faster for you.

For more information about Font Awesome, please refer to the Font Awesome privacy policy at: https://fontawesome.com/privacy.

Google Maps

Our offer includes the functions of the Google Maps map service. Google Maps is a service provided by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheater Parkway, Mountain View, California 94043, USA (hereinafter referred to as “map service provider”). In order for Google Maps to be loaded, a connection to Google’s servers is required, which for technical reasons involves the transmission of your IP address.

If you have agreed to the use of Google Maps, your location data—based on the settings of your device—may be transmitted to the map service provider as geocoordinates and displayed as starting coordinates within the integrated Google Maps map. We use the location data exclusively for the purpose of providing the search function and delete it afterwards, unless otherwise specified in this privacy policy.

Please note that when using the services of the map service provider, additional data may be collected or evaluated by the latter. We have no influence on this. Further information on the purpose and scope of data collection and processing by the map service provider may be found at www.google.com/policies/privacy/partners/. There you will also find further information on your rights and settings options for protecting your privacy.

The legal basis for transferring data to Google Maps is your consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR. You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future by accessing the cookie settings above in section 1 “Cookie Consent” under “Change”. To do this, deselect your consent under “Allow map services” and then click “Save”. The lawfulness of the processing carried out on the basis of the consent until its withdrawal remains unaffected.

4. Social Media

Facebook plugins (Like & Share buttons)

Our website integrates plugins from the social network Facebook, provided by Facebook Inc., 1 Hacker Way, Menlo Park, California 94025, USA. You can recognize Facebook plugins by the Facebook logo or the “Like” button on our site. An overview of Facebook plugins can be found here: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/.

When you visit our website, the plugin establishes a direct connection between your browser and the Facebook server. This allows Facebook to receive information that you have visited our site using your IP address. If you click the Facebook “Like” button while logged in to your Facebook account, you can link the content of our pages to your Facebook profile. This allows Facebook to associate your visit to our site with your user account. Please note that as the website provider, we have no knowledge of the content of the transmitted data or its use by Facebook. You can find further information in Facebook’s privacy policy at: https://de-de.facebook.com/privacy/policy.

If you do not want Facebook to be able to associate your visit to our site with your Facebook user account, please log out of your Facebook account.

KBL uses the technical platform and services of Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, Merrion Road, Dublin 4, D04 X2K5, Ireland, for the information service offered here.

Please note that you use this Facebook page and its functions at your own risk. This applies in particular to the use of interactive features (e.g., commenting, sharing, rating). Alternatively, you can also access the information offered on this page via our website at https://www.megasun.de/.

When you visit our Facebook page, Meta collects, among other things, your IP address and other information stored on your computer in the form of cookies. This information is used to provide us, as the operator of the Facebook pages, with statistical information about the use of the page. Further information is available from Meta at the following link: https://www.facebook.com/help.

The data collected about you in this context is processed by Meta and may be transferred to countries outside the European Union. Meta describes in general terms what information it receives and how it is used in its Data Policy. There you will also find information on how to contact Meta and how to adjust your ad settings. This information is not known to us.

When you access a Facebook page, the IP address assigned to your device is transmitted to Meta. According to Meta, this IP address is anonymized (for “German” IP addresses). Meta also stores information about its users’ devices (e.g., as part of the “Login Notification” feature). Meta may therefore be able to assign IP addresses to individual users.

This data can then be used to tailor content or advertising to you.

If you wish to prevent this, you should log out of Facebook or deactivate the “stay logged in” function, delete the cookies stored on your device, and close and restart your browser. This will delete Facebook information that could directly identify you. This way, you can use our Facebook page without revealing your Facebook ID. If you access interactive features of the page (like, comment, share, message, etc.), a Facebook login screen will appear. After logging in, you will again be identifiable to Meta as a specific user.

Information on how to manage or delete information about you can be found on the following Meta Support page: https://de-de.facebook.com/about/privacy

YouTube

This website embeds videos from YouTube. The operator of the site is Google Ireland Limited (“Google”), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. The operator of the site is Google Ireland Limited (hereinafter “Google”), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. We use YouTube in enhanced privacy mode. According to YouTube, this mode prevents YouTube from storing information about visitors to this website before they watch videos. However, enhanced privacy mode does not necessarily prevent data from being shared with YouTube partners. For example, YouTube establishes a connection to the Google DoubleClick network regardless of whether you watch a video.

As soon as you start a YouTube video on this website, a connection to YouTube’s servers is established. This informs the YouTube server which of our pages you have visited. If you are logged in to your YouTube account, you allow YouTube to directly associate your browsing behavior with your personal profile. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account. Furthermore, after a video starts playing, YouTube may store various cookies on your device or use similar recognition technologies (e.g., device fingerprinting). In this way, YouTube can obtain information about visitors to this website. This information is used, among other things, to compile video statistics, improve user-friendliness, and prevent fraud. Additional data processing operations may be triggered after a YouTube video starts playing, over which we have no control.

The use of YouTube is in the interest of presenting our online content in an appealing way. If you use YouTube on our site, your consent will be requested. Processing is based on Article 6 (1) (a) GDPR and Section 25 (1) German Telemedia Act (TMG), insofar as the consent includes the storage of cookies or access to information on the user’s device (e.g., device fingerprinting) within the meaning of the German Telemedia Act (TMG).

You can revoke your consent at any time by accessing the cookie settings above in Section 1 “Cookie Consent” under “Change”. To do this, deselect your consent under “Allow video services” and then click “Save”. The lawfulness of the processing carried out on the basis of the consent until its withdrawal remains unaffected.

Further information about data protection at YouTube may be found in their privacy policy at: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=de.

Our website uses plugins from the video portal Vimeo. The provider is Vimeo Inc., 555 West 18th Street, New York, NY 10011, USA. When you visit one of our pages equipped with a Vimeo plugin, a connection to Vimeo’s servers is established. This informs the Vimeo server which of our pages you have visited. Vimeo also receives your IP address. This applies even if you are not logged into Vimeo or do not have a Vimeo account. The information collected by Vimeo is transmitted to the Vimeo server in the USA.

If you are logged in to your Vimeo account, you allow Vimeo to directly associate your searching behavior with your personal profile. You can prevent this by logging out of your Vimeo account.
